SXSW - Levi’s x FADER Fort by Otto Design Group
Hailed as one of the largest event of its kind, the annual South by Southwest (SXSW) is a fest for your senses. Crammed into one week period are performances by some 1,800 musical acts, interactive installations, and independent films. Strewn across downtown Austin, Texas, are countless venue, including the Levi’s / FADER Fort. Created by multi-discipline design agency, Otto Design Group (ODG), whose portfolio includes Stussy Los Angles, Steven Alan, and various The North Face locations. Planned with certain rustic charm, the massive open air space served more than just a performance stage but more like a playground for adults. Retail spaces for Levi’s and Ray-Ban products, stations to test play the latest Xbox 360 titles, pop-up bars and more… The highlight at “the fort” will be this Saturday evening when G.O.O.D. Music showcased a 3-hour performance by Kid Cudi, Big Sean, Really Doe, GLC, Consequence, Tony Williams, Mr. Hudson, and a special appearance rumored to be Mr. Kanye West himself.

Sagmesiter x Levi’s 501 Art Installation for American Rag
Firmly on the art-tip as of late with partnerships involving iconic art minds Shepard Fairey and Damien Hirst, Levi’s continue on a path of creativity thanks to a recent team-up with graphic design firm Sagmeister . With iconic works spanning leading musicians Rolling Stones and Velvet Underground among others, Levi’s bestows upon Sagmeister the iconic 501 to form their own artistic endeavor. We’re all very much aware of the 501’s influence over many generations from the workyard to the pop culture world. The co-branded art installations will be seen exclusively at retailer American Rag and their two locations in Los Angeles and Levi’s home-base San Francisco.
